Asavela Mngqithi (born 4 June 1996) is a South African Actress most famous for acting as Ntwenhle Ndlovu the daughter of Mandla Ndlovu (Bongani Gumede) on Mzansi Magic's Telenovela Isibaya.

Asavela Mngqithi was born and raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.She is the daughter of South African Premier Division (PSL) soccer coach Manqoba Mngqithi. The actress’s love for acting grew stronger when she attended varsity at AFDA, The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. She also has studied towards a Cinematography and editing degree.^[2]

Asavela Mngqithi was a victim of the housing breaking and robbery, this is according to the June 2019 report.

Men armed with AK-47's gained access to her house in Lamontville, Durban, using a hammer. At which point they demanded to see "Ntwenhle" (the name of her character on Isibaya).

According to reports the criminals were after a ring which she had worn during her onscreen (fictional) wedding on Isibaya, as well as money and her car. The report further explain that the criminals were standing right in front on Asavela Mngqithi but didn't recognise her.

Her car was later recovered in the neighboring Umlazi township.^[1]
