Anthony Beminio was one of the two police officers from Des Moines, Iowa who was killed by Scott Michael Greene during an ambush.

Tony was part of the Des Moines Police Department since 2005, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2015.

in June 2001, Tony graduated from Simpson College where he also played for the Football team.

After college he was recruited by Indianola Police department.

On November 2nd, 2016 at around 1:26 a.m., according to the police reports and press conference, Tony was shot by Greene as he sat inside his vehicle at the intersection of Merle Hay & Sheridan moments after a high alert call was made over gun shots heard.

^[9]Tony's response to the call was in fact over gun shots heard in the area - which were also fired by Scott Michael Greene, and killed officer Justin Martin.

He was taken to Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
