Music Career
"I grew up singing in church and around the house, but I started creating my own music around 2009 as an outlet to get through my parents divorce"
Ant Clemons gained national attention after he showed up as a feature on Kanye West's track "All Mine" from the long awaited Jesus Is King album. He also has writing credits on "Water", "Alien", "Law Of Attraction", and "Last Name". Even before their collaboration, Ant was a huge fan of Kanye West, citing his Philadelphia Yeezus concert as one of the greatest events he's ever been at. He told Genius that Kanye's work has always coincided with events in his life: [5]
"Graduation was one of the first CDs I bought with my first Burger King check. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was the soundtrack to every car ride anywhere I was going in the winter I got my first car. I literally spent my first songwriting check on my pair of Yeezys. So you can only imagine how ecstatic and honored I am to have worked with one of my biggest inspirations."
On the date that Jesus Is King dropped, October 25th 2019, Ant Clemons only had one song on his Soundcloud—"4 Letter Word ft. Timbaland". [4]
Ant Clemons is close friends with Jeremih and has also written for Teyana Taylor's "K.T.S.E."
