Since joining GMA in November 1998 over 200 “American Family” segments have aired before 5 million viewers.

In 2002, two of her segments received a media award from the National Council on Family Relations and a segment on teen drivers received an award from MADD in 2003.

Ms. Pleshette Murphy’s book, The 7 Stages of Motherhood: Making the Most of Your Life as a Mom was published in September by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc.From

January to November 2000, she was the parenting expert on Lifetime Live, appearing weekly to discuss a wide range of child-rearing challenges. Prior

to joining ABC, Ms. Pleshette Murphy was a regular guest on NBC’s Weekend Today and the parenting expert on The News at Noon (WCBS TV), where she appeared weekly from 1994 until 1999. Her

other television credits include appearances on The Today Show, CBS This Morning, Regis & Kathie Lee, The Montel Williams Show, and Oprah. [1]
