Ángela Vergara (Bogotá, Colombia; June 7, 1974) is an actress, presenter and model. She has become known on television for her roles in the soap operas Ay cosita linda mama!, Se armó la gorda and Las profesionales, a su servicio.^[1]

Vergara graduated in psychology from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá.

Her media career began in modeling, but then she became the host of the Panorama, Cinescape show with Julian Arango and Nubeluz.

Later she would discover that she possessed another great talent, acting which led her to make her debut in the soap opera Mascarada.

In 1997, she starred in the telenovela Ay cosita linda mama, and then 1999 Se armó la gorda, alongside Marcela Benjumea and Diego Cadavid.

She stated that she had done a good job, having had the experience of studying at Juan Carlos Corazza's school at Spain.

In 2001, she went to Sydney, Australia to study acting at the Acting Center.

During her stay there she had an affair with Australian actor Rel Hunt and took a degree in Public Relations.

In 2004, she was called by RCN Channel, at the request of director Magdalena La Rotta to play Yamille in the soap opera Las noches de Luciana.

During the following years, she continued to act in soap operas and series such as La Ex, Las Profesionales, a su servicio, Súper pa and Mujeres asesinas, Los caballeros las prefieren brutas. In 2011, she acted in the film Saluda al diablo de mi parte, starring Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramírez. And later in the film The Poster. She is currently based in Germany.
