Andrew McCaskill is Senior Vice president, Global Communications & Multicultural Marketing at Nielsen Corporation, a marketing research firm.
Early Life
McCaskill grew up in a small farm community in Mississipi. He was fascinated by the news from an early age. His high school didn't have a real newspaper, so he took a Trapper Keeper of five essays he had written to the editor of his hometown newspaper and asked her if he could join the staff. She referred him to the local radio station to do an on-air test. [undefined]
McCaskill wrote monthly features for the paper – a profile on an 80-year-old gravedigger, for example – and anchored a four-hour country music radio news show.

McCaskill is a graduate of Morehouse College. He holds an MBA in Management Strategy from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. [undefined]
Career
McCaskill has over 20 years of work experience.
He is an accredited Public relations executive. In ten years, he helped launch more than 100 venture-backed technology providers, mostly in highly regulated industries. He worked at Coca Cola and Time Warner. [undefined]
Later as senior vice president in the corporate practice at Weber Shandwick New York, he led global communications strategy for Fortune 50 companies and household-name brands.
He became senior vice president of global communications at Nielsen in 2017.
He reports to Nielsen’s Chief Communications Officer and serves as leader of Nielsen’s Global Media Relations Center of Excellence.
He provides guidance and counsel to Nielsen’s media relations teams in 106 countries on proactive public relations and reputation management issues.
Volunteering
He is the immediate past president of the Black Public Relations Society of Atlanta and currently sits on the Public Relations Society of America's MBA Initiative Committee.
