Andrew Finch was a resident of Wichita, Kansas. [2] [0] He was shot and killed by police after answering the front door of his residence. [2] [0] [4]

Personal Life

Finch was a father of two young children.

[2] [0] He was the son of Thomas and Lisa Finch. [2] [0]

Death

On December 28, 2017, Finch was killed by police responding to a false report of a homicide and hostage situation. [2] [0] His mother stated that he was unarmed when he opened the door to the family home. [2] [0] [4]

The family then was forced outside barefoot in freezing cold.

All family members were handcuffed, placed in separate police vehicles and taken in for questioning.

The FBI is investigating the incident that users on Twitter have called a Swatting prank over an alleged $1.50 wager in Call of Duty. [2] [0] [4]

His family stated that Andrew did not play video games.
