Andrea Giunti Lombardo (born September 27, 1997), is an Italian entrepreneur based in Italy. In April 2019, Lombardo was selected to be in the 100 Forbes Italy Under 30 list. [1] [3]
Education
Lombardo completed the International Baccalaureate at the International School of France in 2014. When he was seventeen years old, he moved to China as he was admitted to study at the New York University campus in Shanghai. NYU Shanghai is the first U.S. college approved by Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. [3]
During the summer of 2016 Andrea was a student at Draper University's residential programme. He also attended the London School of Economics and Peking University Summer School Programme on Management, Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership in Beijing. [3]
By the end of 2016, Lombardo decided to drop out of NYU to join, as a member of the board, his family's business Giunti Editore Publishing Group.
In May 2019, Lombardo attended Singularity University Executive Program at the Ames Research Center. [3]
Career
Early Beginnings
Andrea Lombardo started his entrepreneurial career at the early age of thirteen years old, with the formation of a team of more than thirty people organising events in Florence.
He managed to collaborate with many promoters and established organisations, with some events hosting thousands of people, including international guests. [3]
Present
He is now actively working in Giunti Editore, the second largest publishing house in Italy. In 2017 Andrea was part of the European House - Ambrosetti Leaders of the Future development programme. In 2018 Andrea attended the Yale School of Management Publishing Course, which examines the challenges and opportunities of the ever-changing publishing landscape. [3]
Pursuing his passions in the fields of innovation, digital media, ed-tech and entrepreneurship, he is interested in the general development of Giunti Editore, its social media presence and new ways to monetise its content online, in Italy and abroad. New projects, such as the Giunti Academy - School of management, were conceived with the experience of Giunti Editore, leader in cultural content. The Academy offers various executive programs exploring the management of the arts and cultural goods as well as food and wine, amongst other domains, and has plans to expand its courses online soon.
