Ana Paula Ordorica is a renowned Mexican journalist who analyzes both national and international politics. Based out of Mexico City, Ordorica has more than twelve years of experience in print journalism, radio, and TV news broadcasting.
Education
Ordorica holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Master’s degree in history from the Universidad Iberoamericana. While finishing her Bachelor’s at the ITAM, she worked as a research assistant to Dr. Pamela Starr and Dr. Jorge Montaño.
Early Career
During university, Ordorica sent many columns to different newspapers, hoping they would publish them.
Though she was not successful for many years, she showed the same perseverance that has followed her throughout her career.

Ordorica’s career in journalism began when one of her articles titled “Recipe to win voters” was published by René Delgado of The Reform and Pablo Hiriart of The Reason, the latter of which is now Ordorica’s radio show co-host on Frente al País. She continued to collaborate with the Reform fortnightly for about a year.
Currently, Ana Paula Ordorica is an editor for the Mexican newspaper El Universal and publishes Compass, a column specializing in national and international political news. When speaking at conferences, she focuses on politics, both foreign and local, and trying to explain their intricacies to others in simple, accessible terms. Much of her recent work has been focused on American president Donald Trump, though she is still heavily involved in Mexican politics and corruption.

Ordorica also does work in radio and TV news broadcasting.
She has a radio program called Frente al País with Grupo Imagen where she analyzes current events, [13] and a TV broadcast with Televisa and FOROtv called A Las Tres where she presents the relevant news of the day. She also owns Televisa’s Paralelo 23 program.

In addition to news journalism, Ordorica has published two books.
In 2011, she wrote Uno + Uno: 32 lideres sumando por Mexico with Carlos Mota, where the pair interviewed Mexicans in their thirties on their thoughts and dreams for Mexico. A year later, she published 2012: Los punteros: Dos conversaciones, based on face-to-face conversations with Josefina Vazquez and the current President, Enrique Peña Nieto, while the two were candidates in the 2012 Mexican elections.

Ordorica is in a relationship with Andrés Sánchez Abbott and is the mother of two kids, Patricio and Carla.
Along with balancing her work and hobbies, she tries to spend as much time with her family as possible.
She has said before that the intersection of her personal and professional life makes her very happy, as her family is very understanding of her schedule.
Ordorica also loves sports and regularly trains for triathlons.

In an interview, she admitted that her biggest flaw is her impatience.

In her job, Ordorica has said she tries to keep neutral when writing about politics to win “the credibility of the people”.
When asked what she would do if she could do something impossible, her answer was to end corruption in Mexico.
