Amy Blagojevich

Amy Blagojevich (born 24/12/1997) is an American public figure from Illinois, Chicago. Army is 23 years old and well known as an elder daughter of Rod Blagojevich an American politician who served as the 40th Governor of Illinois, Chicago.

Early life

She was born in in the United States of America and is the daughter of retired American politician and convicted felon Rod Blagojevich who served as the 40th Governor of Illinois until his convictio and removal from office in 2009.

Education

She attended college at Northwestern University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. Her sister Annie is in high school.

Interests

Amy Blagojevich found interest in history and classical music. She found solace in repositioning her dream and support for her family positively.

Criticism

She was known for outbursts after her father was convicted and sent to prison. She criticizes former President Barack Obama for not granting early release to her father, who’s serving prison time for corruption. In an emotional letter written by Amy Blagojevich called Obama “spineless” for not commuting her father’s sentence.

Amy wrote in the lengthy screed, posted on her mom Patti's Facebook page.

"I'm glad you're gone.

I'm not delusional you're not a saint.

You were a mediocre president with unoriginal ideas." Her statement infuriated more public eyes on her father's sentence.

Media statements

In an interview with the media where she spoke about Obama, Amy said:

"I thought you would finally right this wrong.

You didn't have to pardon him, only commute the sentence.

You just had to let him come home.

You didn't.

You released others, like Chelsea Manning or FALN terrorists, who committed reprehensible crimes, but you failed to release an innocent man."

Family reaction

Amy stated that the situation has deeply affected their family:

“The circumstances surrounding Rod’s indictment, trial, and eventual sentencing has devastated the lives of her sister and their two beautiful children.

Rod's absence has left a huge void within the family, which has limited their lifestyle in a devastating state.
