Amos Beede
Amos Beede was a transgender male from Milton, Vermont. He attended Milton High School. Amos was born as Amy Beede, and many of his small town acquaintances still refer to him as Amy.
Death
On the morning of May 25, 2016 police were called to a homeless encampment in the area of Barge Canal in Burlington, Vermont. Beede was found badly beaten and lying on the ground. Police say he had been attacked hours earlier.
Beede was transported to The University of Vermont Medical Center to be treated. He died on May 28, 2016 of wounds that included head trauma, facial fractures, and broken ribs.
Amos' family have set up a Go Fund Me to help with funeral costs.
Justice
Erick Averill, 21, and Myia Barber, 23, Jordan Paul, and Allison Gee were arrested in connection to Beede's death.
