Amani Al-Khatahtbeh is a writer and tech entrepreneur based in Brooklyn, New York.
[2]Amani is the author ofMuslim Girl: A Coming of Agepublished by Simon & Schuster.[3] Her book discusses the rise of Islamophobia in the U.S. and the racial tensions exacerbated by political hate speech and community shootings.
The book touches on her personal experiences growing up Muslim in a post-9/11 Western society.
Amani studied at Rutgers University in New Jersey and graduated in 2014.
Amani was a Lloyd Gardner Fellow and a Women’s Leadership Scholar at Rutgers University.
She led several independent studies on the Arab Spring and Middle Eastern politics as a student.
She is also a blogger for Atlantic Council, a foreign policy think tank in Washington, D.C. [5]
