She got into sales at Sephora and at the same time started Vlogging mirroring makeup tutorials after celebrities such as Cara Delevingne, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and more. Feud With Kylie Jenner
"This photo looks awfully familiar 🧐😅."
Jenner replied to the accusation in a dismissive way: [16]
"from the words of Kim K ur not on my mood board but i did get my inspo off Pinterest 🤷🏻♀️"
Fans of Kylie are quick to note that much of what Amanda does in the makeup world is inspired by the Kardashians. Ensing was one of the influencers invited to Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty launch in June 2017. In March of 2018 she filmed a video in Jenner's old glam room, saying about it: [17]
"Today I’m filming in Kylie Jenner’s old beauty room, which is so awesome. I’m getting to film here because one of my friends bought her old house It’s so weird filming in there, I feel like I know the room already, just from watching the Kardashians and seeing it on Kylie’s Snapchat and Instagram and everything."
Back in 2017 Ensing had her own issues with "borrowing" when she was accused of copying the ideas of Skull House Designs CEO and designer Kelsey Kinsman for her own merchandise.
She spoke up about what happened in a since-deleted video titled “My Statement”: [17]
"You guys know that I would never intentionally hurt you or anyone else.
And the person that was brought to my attention, I never heard of and didn’t steal anything,” she said at the time.
“If someone thinks that I’ve taken something from them, they are more than welcome to reach out to my legal team with their copyright or trademark paperwork."
Personal Life
She is half Puerto Rican and grew up playing video games with her two younger brothers. Amanda has been playing the piano for much of her life. [3]
