Ama Lou is a British R&B Singer-songwriter and recording artist who explores numerous topics in the media affecting Black people such as the idea of Black Lives Matter and Police brutality. ^{[6] [12]} She has toured with Jorja Smith and has received support and endorsement from Drake. ^{[9] [11]}

Ama was born and raised in North London. Since an early age she has been a musician as she was classically trained. ^{[6] [8]} At the age of 11 years old, she wrote her first song. ^[9]

In 2016 she released her first single called, "TBC", a politically-inspired song about Black Lives Matter that went on to get notoriety in many circles.

In 2018, Drake showed his support of Ama Lou by wearing one of her merch t-shirts on his Instagram.

Drake has also expressed his love for the song "TBC", and has told Ama that it's one of the best songs he's ever heard.
