Alvina August (born August 2, 1984) is a Zimbabwean-Canadian actress and Television personality. She is known for her roles on the television series Nancy Drew and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.^[1][2][3]

She was born on August 2, 1984 in Zimbabwe. She was raised by her parents in Zimbabwe along with her siblings. At the age of 17 years, she moved to Canada.^[4][5]

She begin her training to become a professional actress when she moved to Canada. She acted in the 2017 movie The Good Doctor as Nurse Alana Paikin together with Freddie Highmore.

She also acted as Lady Constance Blackwood in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She played the role of Detective Karen Hunt in the 2019 movie Nancy Drews. Her role was that of an intelligent detective, who's best friend is Nancy Drew's mother.

She also acted in the superhero drama “The Boys" the movie was produced and directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. She has acted in other TV shows and movies like “Siren", “The Other Kingdom", Suits (TV series),” “Supernatural” and “Arrow.”

In the movie "Motivated Seller" directed by Deon Taylor she plays the main role.

She also acted along with Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader in "Noelle" a Walt Disney’s fantasy comedy feature film. She acted in “The Intruder” along with fellow actors Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid.

The movie “Noelle,” was written and directed by Marc Lawrence. She once again acted in “Bad Times at the El Royale” featuring popular actor Chris Hemsworth.

She is a singer and has released and recorded her original music.

She is highly focused on her acting career.

She works at Vancouver and Los Angeles, California so she travels in between both places.
