Alpa is a newscaster and presenter for the international arm of the news channel BBC "World News" and she is also an investigative reporter for British regional news and magazine BBC "London News."

She primarily reports on international politics and relations as well as regional London-based news.

She was previously a reporter for ITV Angela News before joining the full-time BBC staff.

She describes herself on social media as "a little Indian, a little Ugandan, <3 is Welsh"^[1]

She is an alumnus of University of Wales, Cardiff.
