Alma Juniku is an up-and-coming Muay Thai fighter based out of Australia.[1]
Personal Life
Juniku grew up in Logan City, a little outside of Brisbane, South East Queensland with her brother and sister.Both of Alma's parents emigrated from Albania and ran a tight household, instilling her with a strong work ethic.Juniku got into Muay Thai at the age of 8, training alongside both of her siblings.[1]
Their father had wanted them to pursue soccer, since he had been a professional soccer player, but eventually supported their dedication to martial arts.
Career
Alma started fighting in tournaments as early as nine years old.In
2018 she netted the biggest win of her career against Zaza Sor. Aree, earning herself the WBC Muay Thai Bantamweight World Title and the IPCC World Muay Thai bantamweight title.[2]
In May of 2019 it was announced that Alma Juniku had officially signed with ONE Championship.She has defeated big names such as Zhang Weili, and Brooke Farrell.As of June 5, 2019 her record is 24-4.[3]
