ALLBLACK (rapper)
Personal Life
ALLBLACK grew up on 22nd Avenue and Foothill near International Boulevard, a place notorious for pimping. He grew up with older brothers and now has a daughter named Maxeene. His auntie Pam used to give all her nephews the nickname Dusty and it stuck even after she passed. ALLBLACK has shared that he is inspired by music like E-40, 3X Krazy, 2Pac a lot of hometown shit, '90s R&B, Xscape, 702, Usher, Migos, Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Kut Klose, and much more. [2]
He got into pimping at a young age, knee deep in the game for nearly seven years before getting caught up.
After sitting in county jail for a while ALLBLACK decided to focus completely on his musical career. ALLBLACK's music often touches on the subject of pimping, which puts him with the likes of Too Short, Richie Rich, and Dru Down. [1]
When asked how he felt about the nature of his old profession ALLBLACK has said: [3]
"These people think you're a villain, or you're supposed to be a villain.
You're supposed to be all gorilla stomp down.
And once I started seeing the women, seeing how they moved and how bold they were, everything, it just turned me on.
Of course the money, but looking at it, and learning it, and watching it for so long, seeing it, thinking that it's this when it really wasn't that.
Yeah, it was a win, it was a score; yeah, it was prostitution.
Yeah, it was sex.
But if you go out there with that, and ask every girl, Why do you do what you do?
I bet you they're all going to have a different answer."
ALLBLACK is from a musically prolific area, having attended Pinole Valley High School with artists like Iamsu!, P-Lo, Drew Banga and Rexx Life Raj. Funny enough he wasn't even into making music in high school, he was obsessed with football like his big brother who's now in the NFL. He got his start in entertainment as the hype man for rapper Kossisko whom he had met through his cousin and manager Delency Parham. [4]
After striking out on his own he dropped No Shame in 2015, No Shame 2 in 2016*,theKim Son EP in 2017andOutcalls in 201* in 2018. [5]
