Alicia Stapleton is an American former Sex worker who was engaged in a case in which her ex-boyfriend at the time, Robert Knight, a Fresno Police officer, pimped her out through the use of Craigslist. ^{[2] [4]}

Stapleton was born and raised in the state of California where she has lived for most of her life. ^[5]She had most of her upbringing in a suburb near Sacramento where she attended Visions in Education School. ^[5]

She currently lives with her husband and children in the suburb of Carmichael. ^[5]

For many years, Stapleton worked as a Sex worker in the state of Nevada. ^[0]She became a well-known and sought after prostitute at Bunny Ranch, a legal brothel in the state of Nevada. ^{[0] [2]}

In July of 2015, she was arrested after soliciting sex online.

She was in fact being pimped out by a Police officer named Robert Knight. He had then resigned a few days after her arrest due to an investigation by Fresno Police. ^[4]

Fresno Police Department Internal Affairs Unit were first alerted about the illegal sex solicitation when they were informed about the romantic relationship Robert Knight had with Stapleton.

Police officers fooled Knight into thinking they were clients which led to the reveal of Knight's operation.

He was obsessed in trying to find a rich man from Saudi Arabia who would pay good money.

search warrant, it states how Knight fantasized about Saudis paying for sex with Stapleton and taking her and treating her like property.

The warrant also states that Knight wondered if they would keep her in chains and a collar or put her on stage and auctioned off.

After nearly three years, Stapleton was dismissed from the case on January 25th, 2018.

The judge dropped the charges because she attended a one-day class and stopped sex work after she entered a conditional plea.
