Ali Vitali is an American Journalist based in Washington, D.C. She is a Political Journalist at NBC News. [1] [6] [3]
Education
Vitali graduated from Briarcliff High School in 2008. She then went on to attend Tulane University from 2008 to 2012, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in political Science and Communication. [2] [1] [3]
During College, she was member of Pi Beta Phi, Green Wave Ambassador s, Residence HallResidence hall association and the Association for Student Conduct Administration. [2] [1] [3]
Career
From May to September 2012, Vitali was a Production and Development Assistant at ABC News. From 2012-2014, she worked as the Vice president and Managing editor of Sweet Lemon Media, an online lifestyle Magazine.[2]
In 2012, Vitali became an Associate Editor Intern at MSNBC. Later, she also was a Multimedia Editor and Graphics Producer for The Cycle. In 2015-2017, she was covering Donald Trump and the Republican Party for NBC News Platforms, including MSNBC and digital. In 2017, she became a White House Digital Reporter. Since March 2018, Vitali has been a Political Reporter at NBC News.[2]

Vitali is dating Jeremy Diamond, a White House correspondent at CNN. While covering the President on the road, the duo met at a Trump rally in Iowa. The couple hung out alone for the first time when Ali flew from Iowa to New Hampshire after the 2016 caucus. Jeremy was already in New Hampshire and asked Ali if she wanted to grab breakfast. She was exhausted but acquiesced. In an interview with Washingtonian (magazine), she revealed: "He picked me up at the Homewood Suites in Manchester, and proceeded to bring me to breakfast…in Massachusetts, 30 minutes away!"[23]
In an interview with Politico, Vitali told about her start in journalism:
"I grew up loving television -- my parents have home videos where I ‘reported’ live from our family vacations -- and loving politics.
When I interned at NBC’s ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,’ I saw that those two things could be fused and I was hooked.
I started working at MSNBC.com soon after graduating from Tulane, reporting overnight, then producing on a show called ‘The Cycle.’ After that I landed as the NBC News embed on the trail with candidate Donald J. Trump.
