Alexis Cruz (Journalist) is an American journalist who works as a morning and noon news anchor for WCTI-TV 12 and FOX 8/14 licensed in New Bern, North Carolina, in the United States. Before joining WCTI-TV, Alexis worked as a weekend news anchor and reporter at WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida.[1]

Alexis Cruz was born and raised in Miami, Florida in the United States. Additionally, she has lived in Gainesville, Florida city in the United States for the past four years.

Before Alexis graduated from the University of Florida, she worked as a weekend assignment editor and producer for TV20. Alexis used to anchor, produce, and report for WUFT (TV) News during her college. [8]
In 2013 she worked as an office assistant at the 8th Street Medical Centre where she assisted doctors and nurses and helped schedule appointments.
Alexis thrives on getting out into the community and meeting the special individuals living in North Central Florida.
she worked as a weekend news anchor and reporter for WCJB-DT2 which is a dual ABC/CW affiliated television station based in Gainesville, FL. She anchored the WCJB TV20 morning show. [7]
At WCJB TV20 she worked as the primary fill-in anchor for the primetime evening broadcasts and morning show.
Furthermore, she hosted and produced a weekly technology segment and food segment.
Moreover, she hosted charity and station-sponsored events as a representative of WCJB-TV.
In addition, Alexis worked as the weekend anchor and was responsible for co-producing the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.
Alexis also anchored a thirty-minute broadcast, editing scripts, and researching stories solo.
Alexis left WCJB-TV after working at the station for two years and three months in Dec 2019 to join WCTI TV Channel 12.
Alexis joined WCTI-TV on Dec 2019 and works as the morning news anchor for the 4:30 – 7:00 a.m. newscast. Additionally, she hosts the 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. newscast on FOX Eastern Carolina.

Fire causes extensive damage at New Bern restaurant
The New Bern Fire Department says a kitchen fire at a downtown restaurant has caused significant damage.
Officials say a neighbor called 911 just after 8:30 Friday morning after they saw smoke coming from Prohibition Grill.
