Alexander Debelov is a technology entrepreneur based out of San Francisco, California.

Debelov is currently the CEO of Go X, the first e-scooter sharing company for universities.

He was previously the CEO and Co-Founder of Virool, a programmatic video marketing platform, which was acquired in 2017.

Early Life & Education

Alex Debelov is originally from Rostov Oblast, Russia.

In 2010, he graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Technology Entrepreneurship and Design, and Strategic Management.

Debelov was a Executive Board Member of the Student Government Association, and a Member of E-Tower.

He was also the Chapter President and an Executive Member of The Kairos Society, the world’s largest student entrepreneurship organization.

While at Babson, Debelov took courses at the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business and the Olin College of Engineering.

Since July 2018, Alex Debelov has been the CEO of Go X, the only e-scooter sharing company for universities.

From 2012-2017, Debelov was the CEO and Co-Founder of Virool, a programmatic video marketing platform.

He grew the team to 85 employees across offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York City, London, and Saint Petersburg.

Debelov raised over $20 million for Virool from investors including Y Combinator, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Menlo Ventures, and 500 Startups.

During his tenure, Debelov received multiple acquisition offers including $130 million offer from Rubicon Project, but eventually sold the company to Archer VC in October 2017, advertising technology focused private equity fund led by John Hadl.

Debelov was the CEO of Crelligence Media from 2008-2012.

Crelligence Media helps young filmmakers get.

Crelligence allows young talented filmmakers to get discovered by participating in video contests sponsored by companies, where they get compensated based on how viral their video becomes on the internet.

The first video campaign, “Spread Me”, has accumulated over 2,000,000 million views worldwide as a result of one of the videos going viral and getting featured on both CBS’s “Smash Cuts” and Fuji TV.

[0]From 2008-2010, Debelov was the Chief Technology Officer and Director of The Kairos Society, the world’s largest student entrepreneurship organization with 1500 members from 25 universities.

The Society connects students on the regional, national, and international levels, through frequent regional events and the once a year Kairos Summit held in New York City.

The first inaugural summit in 2009 brought addresses from Bill Gates Sr., Bill Clinton, Joe J. Plumeri, Naveen Jain, and Ellen J. Kullman among others.

Debelov was a Research Analyst at Tadpole Ventures from 2007-2008.

Debelov worked with two of their portolio companies, Dakar Tech and SimIsland.

At Dakar Tech, he worked closely with former executives of Apple, Intel and Atari on developing a new type of consumer electronics product.

Debelov was involved with corporate development and developed a patent tracking database for Dakar Tech.

At SimIsland, Debelov worked with a team on researching and modeling various elements of urban planning and design a city of 30,000-50,000 people to be built on an island.

From 2007-2008, Debelov was the Vice President of Commerce for the Babson College Student Government Association.

Debelov worked with closely with five other students to initiate more than 20 projects.The

largest was the Upper Quad project (later renamed Barefoot Park), a $450,000 development project that involved redevelopment of part of the campus, the largest student organized project in Babson’s history. Debelov

and his team were also created the Entrepreneurship Resource Center, a place where students can receive help with starting a business, writing a business plan and running a venture. [0]
