Alejandro Werner is Managing Director of Corporate & Investment Banking and Member of the Board at BBVA Bancomer.

Before joining BBVA, he served as Mexico's Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit as well as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund.

At Banco de Mexico, he headed the Economic Research Department.

Werner is a part-time professor at ITAM and has been a visiting professor at Yale University's Economics Department.
