Veterans Home Shooting
On Friday March 9, 2018, just after 10:30 a.m. local time, Wong was armed with a rifle and had burst into a farewell party at The Pathway Home, a nonprofit on the Vets Home grounds of Veterans Home of California Yountville, and took three staff members hostage while releasing others. The incident ended after an 8 hour standoff, where authorities found Wong, and three hostages deceased. [1]
The three female hostages that died in the standoff were identified as Executive Director Christine Loeber, a therapist Dr. Jen Golick, and Dr. Jennifer Gonzales. [1]
