Alania began having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-years-old student after he left his Snapchat username on a piece of paper. The two began interacting online and met up two weeks later to have sex on a park bench in Lewisville, Texas. The two continued their inappropriate relationship, drinking alcohol, playing Beer pong, and having sex in her fiance's McKinney, Texas apartment while he was away. ^[1]

After only two months of teaching at the high school, Ferguson abruptly quit in October.

The last time Ferguson and the student engaged in sexual acts with each other was in the back of his pick-up truck after a football game in November.

Ferguson told her 16-year-old partner that “she knew it was not the right thing to do, but it felt right at the time.

And that she was going to break it off with her fiancé because she didn’t feel anything with him.”

The student bragged about his relationship with his friends, and that a teacher or student heard the news and reported it to the authorities.

Ferguson was arrested and released on $100,000 bond.

The terms of her release include mandatory monitoring by an electric bracelet, deactivation of all social media accounts, and a complete ban on internet use.
