Aja Smith (born June 9, 1994) is a referee and an experienced wrestlerprofessional wrestler hails out of Orlando, Florida. On February 5, 2020 it was announced that Smith had become an official referee on WWE's NXT roster. She is the first African American woman full-time referee in the industry.[39]
Career
Aja was trained by Fred Avery and began her professional wrestling career in 2013.
She has fought under the names Aja Perera and Momoe-chan.[6]
One of her first matches was a 9 Man Battle Royale in the PCW wrestling promotion.
The match took place in Porterdale, Georgia on October 5 of 2013. She has competed in a variety of matches over her career including intergender wrestling matches and Battle Royales. She was a member of the tag team Triple Aye with Big Swole.

She was born on June 4, 1994 in Aracaju, Sergipe in Brazil. She is currently located in the United States with her boyfriend, living in Orlando, Florida.[24]
