Adis Šehović
Adis Šehović (1975 - 2018) was Bosnian policeman killed on duty with his partner Davor Vujinović by perpetrators who are still officially unknown.
Šehović joined Bosnian police in 1995 after finishing police high school.
His father had been killed during Bosnian War.
He served in the 4th Precint of Sarajevo Canton Police.
In March 2012 Šehović took part in the arrest of members of organised crime figures.
One of those was Suad Hodžić, associated with multiple shootings or his rivals.
Šehović personally detained him and took away automatic rifle from his hands. He was officially commended for his bravery.[4]
On October 26th 2018 Šehović and Vujinović were patrolling Sarajevo neighbourhood of Alipašino polje in their car when they stumbled into unknown number of men in the process of car theft. Before they could react, their car was hit with bullets from automatic weapons. Šehović died instantly, while Vujinović died few hours later in the hospital.
Šehović was survived by a son who had been following father's footsteps and enrolled in Vraca Police High School shortly before father's death.
First anniversary of Šehović and Vujnović's death was marked by revealing of memorial placque.
The event was attended by hundreds of Sarajevo citizens.[6]
