Adam Purinton is a U.S. Navy veteran residing in Olathe, Kansas. ^[1]

On February 23, 2017, Adam was arrested for killing an Indian immigrant engineer and wounding two others at Austin's Bar & Grill sports bar in Olathe, Kansas. ^[1] Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Alok Madasani, from Hyderabad, were the victims. Alok was killed. A man named Ian Grillot intervened to save their lives and was shot in the chest, hands and neck.

The deadly confrontation began unfolding inside the lounge at around 7.15pm on February 22, 2017, and later spilled out into the parking lot.
