He and his crew stole more than $4.3 Million worth of gold, silver, and metals - and entire truck full of Bullion.

He is from Opalocka in Miami, Florida.

Capture

In early March, 2016, agents identified Perez for his involvement as ringleader in the robbery of a truck filled with a Bullion of an estimated $4.3 Million in Wilson County, North Carolina.

A friend of Perez came forward months prior to his arrest.

According to an Federal Bureau Investigation affidavit, the friend said Perez spent about a year preparing for the heist.

The target was a routine shipment of gold bars aboard a tractor-trailer sent by Miami-based Republic Metals to a processing plant in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, that serves jewelry makers in the Boston area.

A confidential informant said Perez purchased a GPS tracking device online and mailed to a friend's address without disclosing what was inside.

He also rigged a Pepper spray device inside the cab.

He pleaded no guilty.
