Education
Abby attended Hampshire College where she was the Editor-in-chief at OMEN as well as participated in the Hampshire Chorus. Abby graduated in 2007 with a degree in American Studies, Religion, and Creative Writing. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Religious Studies and Journalism from New York University in 2012. Career
Abby started her career as a Development Assistance for the National Yiddish Book Center and later was the Communications Coordinator for Real Art Ways.
After attaining her Master's Degree, Abby worked as a writer for Slate where she wrote pieces about breaking news. She was a contributor to The Revealer where she covered Covered Rick Perry's prayer rally (The Response) the 9/11 10th anniversary, and Dearborn Arab Fest. As a writer for the New Humanist, Abby covered the United States Presidential Election in 2012 including the Republican National Convention that year. In 2013, Abby became a Staff Writer for The Atlantic and a year later she became a General Assignment Reporter for The Washington Post. [1]
