Abby Ohlheiser is an American Reporter for the Washington Post. Abby Ohlheiser resides in Washington DC. [1]

Education

Abby attended Hampshire College where she was the Editor-in-chief at OMEN as well as participated in the Hampshire Chorus. Abby graduated in 2007 with a degree in American Studies, Religion, and Creative Writing. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Religious Studies and Journalism from New York University in 2012. [1]

Career

Abby started her career as a Development Assistance for the National Yiddish Book Center and later was the Communications Coordinator for Real Art Ways.

After attaining her Master's Degree, Abby worked as a writer for Slate where she wrote pieces about breaking news. She was a contributor to The Revealer where she covered Covered Rick Perry's prayer rally (The Response) the 9/11 10th anniversary, and Dearborn Arab Fest. As a writer for the New Humanist, Abby covered the United States Presidential Election in 2012 including the Republican National Convention that year. In 2013, Abby became a Staff Writer for The Atlantic and a year later she became a General Assignment Reporter for The Washington Post. [1]
