Aalaap "Appa" Narasipura (1996-May 19, 2017) was an engineering student Cornell University who was passionate about photography, art, and Ultimate Frisbee. He was known by friends and family as a talented, kind-hearted person, with an adventurous and fun spirit. [3] [2]
Personal Life
College
Aalaap Narasipura studied Electrical and Computer engineering at Cornell University and was part of the class of 2018. He had planned to graduate early in December and continue at Cornell for a Master of Engineering degree. [2] At Cornell he was involved in many extracurricular activities including the schools Ultimate Frisbee Club. [4]
In the summer of 2016, Aalaap worked as an intern doing Computer and AV Support at Cornell Law School. Aalaap was passionate about photography and built Lifebylens.com, a website he used to showcase his work since 2014. He previously interned at Hudson Printing and the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute at the University of Utah. [4]
Death
On May 19, 2017 Aalaap Narasipura who had been missing since the 17th was found dead in Fall Creek on Friday morning. The circumstances of his death are still under investigation, but according to Cornell Police, no foul play is suspected. [2]
Cornell University Police, the Ithaca Fire Department and the New York State Police scuba dive team were all part of the search. During the search, the scuba team discovered the body. [5]
