Xshell is a GUI-based SSH, Telnet client and Terminal emulator released in 2002.

  • May, 2005: Official release of Version 2.

  • June, 2008: Official release of Version 3. Free version of Xshell is provided for home and school users.

  • May, 2010: Official release of Xshell 4.

  • November, 2014: Official release of Xshell 5.

  • November, 2017: Official Beta release of.

License

A free license for home and school use is available.

The free version is utilized internationally in schools and universities.
