WedMeGood

WedMeGood

WedMeGood is an Indian wedding planning website and app which helps couples plan their wedding, their way. The platform hosts detailed information about wedding vendors across cities in India to help users find local vendors within their budget and style. [1] Founded in February 2014 by Mehak Sagar Shahani and Anand Shahani, the company is currently based out of Gurgaon and has a team of over twenty members.

History

While planning their wedding, Anand and Mehak faced difficulties in planning a cross-cultural wedding - finding the right venue, catering services etc. That is when the duo conceptualised the idea behind WedMeGood and decided to help provide solutions for all things wedding.

[1]

The company started its operations on a website, www.wedmegood.com.

It gathered information about wedding vendors (such as contact details, photos of their work, reviews etc.) across cities in India.

Ir recently launched its app on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Funding

After one and a half years of the launch, WedMeGood raised Rs 2.7 crore in its seed funding round led by Hemant Kanakia and Alok Mittal of Indian Angel Network (IAN).

[2] The funding is being used to scale up their technology and business teams.

Features

WedMeGood provides an end-to-end solution for anyone planning a wedding.

These features are available on both, its website and recently launched app.

Inbox

The WedMeGood inbox provides easy communication between users and vendors.

Users can send queries directly to vendors without having to share their contact details.

Vendors are notified when they have an enquiry on WedMeGood which ensures that they never lose out on any business.

Collaborate

Group planning made easier.

To-be-wed couples can create their virtual wedding on the platform and invite their loved ones as Collaborators to help them plan their wedding.

Collaborators can suggest vendors, outfits, or articles from the blog which are a must-read!

Shortlist and Finalize vendors

The couple can keep track of their vendors by short listing and finalizing them on the app or website.

Checklist

Once a wedding date has been set, a user is given a customised wedding checklist which lists everything that needs to be done before a wedding - from booking venues to arranging logistics for outstation guests.

Couples can now stay on top of wedding planning with the help of this organized checklist.
