Torgoen Swiss is a brand name for a line of pilot watches established in 1999 by aviation enthusiasts and watch manufacturers, [1] and was first launched in the US and Europe by CEO and company co founder Benzi Rosenski.
The brand specializes in manufacturing aviation- and aircraft-inspired watches, as well as military tactical watches.
[2] The watch movement (Quartz and Automatic) is Swiss-made.
Torgoen Swiss is a sponsor [3] of the Torgoen Academy which specializes in training for aviation safety to both private and commercial pilots, located in Ventura County, California, and also sponsors Team Pelfrey an open-wheel racing-car team from St. Petersburg, Florida.
With the rise of smart watches like the Apple watch, some debate whether the traditional wrist watch will lose its appeal, but as Benzi Rosenski Torgoen's founder claims: "(Smartwatches and traditional watches) do not compete. They're selling different products. And neither is a time-telling device". [4]
