Temryss Lane

Temryss MacLean Lane (born May 22, 1982 in Bellingham, Washington), is a female soccer player for Ajax of America, and was a show contributor on Fox Soccer Channel’s Fox Football Fone-In (FFF) with Nick Webster & Eric Wynalda. Temryss made her television debut when the new season of FFF kicked off in August 2009; however the show was cancelled in August 2010.

Lane is of Lummi American Indian and European American descent. She is trained in ballet, and competed in track, basketball and soccer in high school. She earned the title of 1999 NSCAA Washington State Adidas Player of the Year, NSCAA/Adidas Far West Region All-American Team and WESCO League Player of the Year and MVP. Additionally, Seattle-area soccer club Emerald City FC awarded her the Golden Boot Award in 1999 and 2000, an award given to the best female (and male) players in the entire club organization. She was also a member of the Region IV Olympic Development Program team from 1997-1999.

In 2000, she committed to Arizona State University. Following a successful freshman year as a starting defender, Temryss reunited with the Region IV U-23 team to participate in the U.S. Soccer Festival. Starting at center-back Lane scored the only two goals in a 2-2 match against Region II and was named to the U-23 National Select team as the co-captain. Shortly after her U-23 National Team selection, however, she sustained a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus injury.

After college, Temryss was invited to join the USASA (United States Adult Soccer Association) in Mexico for 2008 pre-Olympic friendly matches. Later that year she traveled to Sweden to play professionally for Balinge in the top division Damallsvenskan.

In 2010, Temryss represented the USA as the Official US Futbolita where she reported on the team's journey at the World Cup in South Africa. [3]
