The suspended congress is a sex position usually portrayed in pornography. The position is done when:

  1. The male lifts his female partner off her feet.

  2. The woman wraps her arms around her partner's neck.

  3. The man grabs her on her buttocks [1] and penetrates her by her vagina (or anus), usually a wall is used for support.

Art and film

Many erotic art and porn videos depict this position.

Suspended congress gained notoriety in the movie *Road House * starring Patrick Swayze, which also lends to the position also being known by the title "Road House". The position is sometimes dangerous if the female is not supported correctly.
