Early career
Varsano’s aviation career [2] [2] [2]began in 1975 with his first job at St Petersburg’s Clearwater International Airport, Florida. He then followed on to work at the American Association of Airport Executives and then the General Aviation Manufacturers Association Washington D.C. By 1977 he had a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He is also a qualified single and multiple-engine commercial instrument-rated pilot.
Atlantis 2000 Group Inc.
In 1993 Varsano set up Atlantis 2000 Group Inc. where he advised companies, including; Sagittarius Acquisitions II, Yorkshire Global Restaurants, Inc., Triarc Companies, Inc., Group Actimo, Pacific Capital Group, Saresco, Grotech Capital and Centre partners.
[-1] During this period Steve Varsano also held positions in the catering and real estate industries; managing global brand expansions of Yum Restaurants International.
The Jet Business
In January 2012 Varsano launched The Jet Business, the world's first corporate aviation showroom [5] in London, UK.
The Jet Business is situated on Hyde Park Corner located between Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair. Varsano is quoted in Business Jet Traveler Magazine [6] [6] [6]as saying 'My idea was to have a place where clients could really get a feel for the space. I had sketches, lists, a business plan I kept refining. I knew that I would need a super combination of environment, technology and information to make it worth the client coming in'
Other activities
Varsano is also on the Board of Directors of XOJET and Virgin Galactic.
