McLeod portrayed a lesbian character in the Showtime TV show *The L Word *. Samantha has also appeared in the film *John Tucker Must Die * playing the role of Holly. In *Snakes On A Plane *, Samantha's character was attacked by a snake while having sex with her boyfriend in the plane's bathroom.
