Biography Sam Fischer (born July 5, 1991), is an Australian neo-soul singer and songwriter based in LA who creates ‘Disarming Pop for the Nighttime Crowd.’ Born in the northern suburbs of Sydney, Australia, Fischer began writing songs at the age of 12 while attending classes in classical music. Fischer moved to the UK in 2010 for a year of soul searching, and in 2011 attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. There, Fischer embarked on his musical career. After graduating in May 2014, he moved to LA in hopes of tripping into the grueling world of the music industry. Fischer acquired some luck when he met Liz and Louie of HOLYCHILD who hired him to be a background singer for their band. He toured with them for the first half of 2015 where he found a huge amount of inspiration and drive for what he wanted to be known as. In 2015 Fischer began writing and creating songs with producers known as Alex&Alex (Alex Evert and Alex Tirheimer). They wrote their first song together in July 2015, debuting who Fischer is, and the sound that depicts him as an artist, human, soul and spirit. Shortly, Fischer starting collaborating with some of the most well known current artists in the music industry including: Rihanna, Clean Bandit, Zac Poor, Kiana Ledé and Kara DioGuardi. Working with management team Rich Isaacson, based in New York City, and Iain Watt, based in London, Fischer released his first single, which premiered on Stereogum on May 3, 2016.
