Salman Akram Raja

Early life and education
Raja is the oldest son of Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of Pakistan and member of the Lahore Bar Association, Raja Muhammad Akram. Raja belongs to a notable family of village Arazi Hasnal, Tehsil Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi. In 1989, Raja graduated from Downing College, Cambridge, and, in 1994, he graduated from SOAS, University of London. In 2001, Raja earned an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in Massachusetts. [3]

Career
In 2009, he was counsel for Dr. Mubashir Hassan, [4] [5] [6] [7] a founder of the Pakistan Peoples' Party, in the successful challenge brought by Hassan to the National Reconciliation Ordinance of 2007 that was issued by Pervez Musharraf as part of an understanding with the Pakistan People's Party leadership whereby all pending criminal cases against a large number of politicians were terminated.
Raja has also been a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the Lahore University of Management Sciences and the Government College University, Lahore.
