Ryan Mitchell Wood, (November 20, 1975 – March 7, 2007), better known as "Woodie", was an American rapper and producer from Antioch, California. He died in 2007 at the age of 32.
Childhood
Ryan was born on November 20, 1975 in Antioch, California. At the age of 14, Ryan became immersed in the gang life and joined the Norteños street gang. He started his own record company in 1997 called, East Co. Co. Records. His friend, Gabriel "Snoop" Roberson was sentenced to life in prison for a crime he "claimed" he didn't commit.

Death
On March 7, 2007, Wood took his own life by a self-inflected gunshot wound in Florence, Oregon.
His wife was killed in a car accident, prompting the theory that he was in depression over her death.
He was only 32 years old.
