Nous, on veut des violons

Nous, on veut des violons

"Nous, on veut des violons" ("We Want Violins") was the Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, performed in French by Morgane.

The song was performed second on the night, following Spain's Serafín Zubiri with "Todo esto es la música" and preceding Israel's Dafna Dekel with "Ze Rak Sport". At the close of voting, it had received 11 points, placing 20th in a field of 23.

The song seeks to define what the then-current generation ("Generation Gorby") wanted. Morgane sings that the generation in question has "no history, no past, no memory" and that it wants "violins, we want a whole orchestra".

It was succeeded as Belgian representative at the 1993 Contest by Barbara singing "Iemand als jij".
