After defeating Kawanago he returned to PRO Fighting for a second time to take on Pan Wen Shi in a fight which he won by rear naked choke in the opening round.
His second fight for Legend FC was against unbeaten New Zealander Ev Ting, Striegl had originally been scheduled to face Yeong Gwang Choi at Legend FC 7 [7] but the opponent was changed at the last minute due to injury.
In January 2012 he was named as number six on a list of the Filipinos most likely to make it into the UFC by Bloody Elbow. [8]
Instead of facing Choi, Striegl took on unbeaten New Zealander Ev Ting and won by rear naked choke in the opening round, the fifth time he had won using that particular submission.
