MM Basheer Musliyar (Malayalam: എം.എം.ബശീറ് മുസ്ലിയാറ്, Arabic: بشير مسليار) was the founder president of Darul Huda Islamic University, Chemmad, Malappuram. He was known for his revolutionary works for the reformation of Darse system (Masjid based college) and for his special oration skill. He was known for his refuter speech and was the spear head of Samstha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama (cleric association of Sunni horde in Kerala) in anti-novelty operations. His work for the Kadameri Rahmaniya Arabic college was the golden phase of his life and was motivation for the formation of Darul Huda Islamic University.

Early life
He was born to Mullen Ahmed Musliyar and Khadiya on February 3, 1929.
He was brought up in religious background with strict religious supervision of his parents.
Along with primary education under his father, he possessed material education from Cheroor Govt.
LP School, Vengara UP School, GDD Islam Kozhikode.
He was admitted in Achanampalam Darse (Masjid based college) and later referred to Velloor Baqiyath Swalihath, Tamil Nadu for the higher education.
Matrimonial life
He married Zainaba, daughter of MN Moideenkutty Haji, and was blessed with five sons.
In field service
After completion course with good marks, he entered in the field of service and found a battle field in Madrasse system reformation.
He commenced his service in Achambalam Masjid Darse, from where he attended early classes and later served in Vallimukk, Matattoor and Kondotty Old Juma Masjid (12yrs).
In 1972, he was officially invited for the principal post Kademiry Rahmaniya Arabic college, reputed Arabic college in Malabar region and he served in this position for the long span of 15 years.
In Darul Huda
He was very keen in reformation of primitive style of Darse system and in its renovation with more sophisticated way.
He shared his thoughts with Dr. U. Bapputty Haji and CH Hydrose Musliyar and later this three think tanks gave birth for Darul Huda Islamic University. He served as the founder president of the institution and occupied the position until his demise
Demise
This young Turk breathed his last January 21, 1987 and was buried in native.
