Career

Once a fashion editor and an ongoing contributor as a stylist for top magazines in the Philippines such as Preview Magazine and Esquire Philippines, she currently holds post as digital curator for Style: Singapore. Extending her services to personal styling for weddings and debuts, Uy has established and leads a team of stylists under her own group, StyLIZed Studio. Her talent and credibility has been trusted by the most important names in Philippine show business, sports, and politics for years. She styles for a lot of bankable stars in the country including Kris Aquino, Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Toni Gonzaga, Gretchen Barretto, and Bianca Gonzalez. She currently styles Maine Mendoza, Sarah Geronimo, Dawn Zulueta, and Julia Barretto among others.

She also has shares of product and brand endorsements like Globe, Magnum ice cream, Creamsilk, Blackberry, Sony, RCBC, Plains and Prints, Cathay Pacific, and Casino Femme Ethyl Alcohol. She was also tapped to become the social media influencer for McDonald's, McCormick, Garnier, Colgate Charcoal Deep Clean, and Ciroc Vodka. Currently, she is the brand ambassador for Kiehl's, Samsung, and TRESemmé.

Her transition to celebrity styling made her a star in her own right.

In 2011, Uy, then as the magazine's Fashion Editor-at-Large, graced the cover of Preview Magazine's January–February 2011 issue.

This marked as her very first cover for the magazine.

On the same year, she became part of Town & Country Philippines' list of 101 People You Must Meet.

In 2012, Uy, along with Manila's It Girls Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, and Isabelle Daza, fronted the cover of Preview Magazine's 17th anniversary issue. The cover was accompanied by a viral video of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit, Call Me Maybe. She also landed her first cover for Cosmopolitan Philippines at the same year.

In 2013, she had her third Preview Magazine cover along with Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo, and Isabelle Daza for the magazine's Best Dressed issue in July. She was also the cover girl for Circuit Magazine's June issue at the same year.

In 2014, she released a book, StyLIZed: Liz Uy's Ten Style Essentials, published by Summit Publishing Company.

It discusses how to build a fashionable and highly functional wardrobe with her ten style essentials—each one modeled by some of her famous celebrity clients: Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Marian Rivera, Georgina Wilson, Bianca Gonzalez, Sarah Geronimo, Julia Barretto, Isabelle Daza, Toni Gonzaga, and Kris Aquino. It is currently a bestselling book in the Philippines.

In 2015, Uy collaborated with Filipino cosmetics line Happy Skin for three limited-edition lipstick shades: pink (24 Carats), red (Red Carpet), and nude (Style Icon).

Uy has recently been featured in the fashion website The Coveteur, shot by Jake Rosenberg and Vogue.com for the MatchesFashion.com and Joseph Altuzarra collaboration dinner.
