Laura Trant is a British broadcast journalist and presenter, best known as a presenter and reporter for the regional news programme *BBC South Today *, [1] and a reporter for BBC News. [2] [3]

Broadcasting career

Trant started her career in broadcasting at BBC Radio Solent in Southampton, moving on to work in London for CBBC's Newsround and various BBC Radio 2 programmes including Jeremy Vine and Michael Parkinson's shows. Trant also presented content for the Press Association. [1]

Trant later moved to a regular role presenting and reporting for South Today. [1] In 2014 she presented several national reports, [2] [3] including one on the 40th anniversary of the postcode. [3]

Personal life

Trant was born in Dorset and grew up in and around Southampton and the New Forest. She enjoys visiting the beach or exploring the forest in her spare time. [1]
