Disappearance

Middletown Police issued a Silver Alert for a missing 19-year-old.

Justina Alicea was reported missing by her family on Friday May 20, 2016 after she walked away from her apartment between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Thursday and did not return.

She was last seen on security footage at a Sunoco gas station on Washington Street around 3:35 a.m. Thursday May 19, 2016.

Justina's family was upset on the night she disappeared.

Alicea’s mother said the last person to see Alicea was the driver of a car who picked her up in the West Lake Area of Middletown and dropped her off at the Sunoco gas station on Washington Street.

Description

Alicea has a history of mental health issues and is considered endangered.

She is described as 5"2 feet, 125 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a pink hoodie, jeans and black and pink shoes.

Death

On Tuesday May 24, 2016 around 5:40 p.m. a couple that was fishing in the Connecticut Rvier spotted a dead body and called the police.

The Medical Examiners office performed an autospy Wednesday and determined it was Justina Alicea.

Foul play was not suspected in her death.
