Juliette Ashby is a singer-songwriter from London.

Early life and influences

Born in Southgate, London, Juliette Ashby is the daughter of WENN founder, Jonathan Ashby. Influenced as a child by the music of Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Country music star Bonnie Raitt, [1] [2] Juliette wrote her first song entitled 'Place In My Heart' at the age of 7. Best friend of the late Amy Winehouse, the two friends met at Primary school at the age of 4. Soon after they were inseparable, they moved in a flat together at the age of 18 in East Finchley in 2002, as revealed in the 2015 documentary film that depicts Winehouse's life and death, *Amy *. [3]

Juliette's stepfather, Alan Glass - who's worked with a host of talented artists including Earth, Wind & Fire actively encouraged Juliette to focus more on her vocal technique and songwriting ability after recognizing her talent early on. It was then that a young Juliette Ashby and Amy Winehouse created the duo group called "Sweet n Sour" (Juliette being the Sweet half) [4] and recorded their first track 'Spinderella' in reference to Spinderella, the 3rd arm of the rap group Salt n Pepa.
