The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) is a German foreign Chamber of Commerce ("Auslandshandelskammer" in German, AHK). It provides business solutions to companies which are interested in setting up a business connection with India or Germany.[1] The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce is the largest binational German foreign Chamber of Commerce as well as the largest Chamber of Commerce in India. Around 100 professionals are employed. [2][3]
Membership
The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce is co-operating with the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) as well as with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). Members can be organizations and individuals of any nationality. The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce has almost 7.000 German and Indian members.[6] By the number of members, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce is the largest of all 80 German foreign Chambers of Commerce.[7]
Direction
The current Director General of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce is Bernhard Steinrücke.[8]
Services
DEinternational is the servicemark of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Provided services are market research, investment in India, legal services, business delegations, business partner search, personnel procurement, marketing, renewable energies, translations and also press and public relations (PR).[9][10]
Representations
The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce has representations in India and Germany. Indian locations are Mumbai (former known as Bombay, headquarters of the IGCC), Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai (Madras), New-Delhi (Delhi) and Pune (former Punavadi). The German subsidiary is located in Düsseldorf.[11]
