Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa Senior Secondary School (Punjabi: ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ gurū tēg. bahādur kh.ālasā sīnīar saika°ḍarī sakūl) is in the city of Malout in the Punjab state of India.

It was established on 23 July 1973 to provide education to the children of the town and neighboring areas. The school is affiliated to the Punjab School Education Board, Mohali.[1]

The school is named after Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, the 9th Guru of Sikhism.

Activities

  • The Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is celebrated every year in December. There is an inter-school Shabad competition. Merit certificates are awarded to participants, and a shield goes to the winning team. There is Guru Ka Langar for all.

  • Sports and Physical Education is a feature of the institution for all classes. The institution has grounds for all games. Inter-house and Inter-school matches are held in basket-Ball, volley-Ball, badminton and cricket.
